Bhutan’s first postage stamps were actually revenue stamps issued in 1954. These were denominated in the Tibetan currency: 1 Trangka (blue), 2 Trangka (red), 4 Trangka (green), 8 Trangka (orange). These stamps were initially issued as revenue stamps for tax purposes, but they were soon made valid for postage starting on 1st January 1955. This marked the beginning of Bhutan’s formal postal system. Since then, the country has released a diverse collection. our collection more than 400 variety of stamp, encompassing a wide array of themes.
