The origins of the Israel Postal Company trace back to the postal system established during the British Mandate (1920–1948). Following the founding of the State of Israel in 1948, responsibility for postal services was transferred to the Ministry of Transportation. In 1951, the Ministry of Postal Services was created to oversee the country’s postal operations, later evolving into the Ministry of Communications. This transformation marked the beginning of Israel’s development of its modern postal infrastructure and services.
