Between 1964 and 1971, Ajman issued between 6,000 and 7,000 different stamps, all primarily designed with international collectors in mind. In 1972, Ajman’s stamp issues were replaced by those of the UAE. While some additional Ajman stamps were released after 1972, they were not recognized as valid by the government.
